DESIGNED FOR URBAN YOUTH
The SET is a fun, high-energy youth group for 7th- to 12th-grade students, designed to connect youth with Christian mentors. We help to facilitate and cultivate meaningful relationships through fun activities, competitions, drama, and jam sessions. Youth starts off the night with competitive team games, followed by a brief message from a local minister and small group time to end the night.
COMMITTED TO DISCIPLESHIP
Christian discipleship is so much more than mentoring; it's life on life. We believe that discipleship is best framed by Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Follow me as I follow Christ." So, we spend time in small group and one on one relationships where we invite youth into our lives and model what living a Godly life looks like practically. We believe that it is through these relationships that we are able to see our youth and journey with them towards a thriving relationship with God. The SET gives youth an opportunity to see what it looks like to live out the Gospel at home, at school, and in their communities.
We need adults who are in a growing relationship with Jesus and can commit to mentoring and disciplining youth outside the walls of The SET.
We need adults who will help us create a safe, fun, loving environment, and can help lead small group sessions.
We need videographers and photographers who will capture quality footage to add to our social media content.
We are always trying to find creative new ways to share the Gospel. We are looking for people to be a part of a creative team to come up with innovative new ideas.
We need organized people to check in students, register first time guests, track attendance, and help monitor the facility throughout the evening.
